Hyaluronan (hyaluronic acid) is a natural substance produced by the body that binds moisture in the skin and keeps it elastic. Over the years, the skin’s natural hyaluronic acid content decreases. The loss of elasticity and tone is particularly visible on the face, neck and cleavage. From the age of 40 onwards, deeper wrinkles may become apparent. It is time to provide external support.

Fine injections of hyaluronic acid, known as dermal fillers, are used to fill in medium to deep wrinkles and lift the tissue. Hyaluronic acid treatments are particularly suitable for the lower half of the face to treat marionette lines – affectionately known as ‘Merkel lines’ – nasolabial folds and lip wrinkles. The results are immediately visible. The complexion appears rejuvenated, plumper and fresher. Depending on the condition of the skin, the effect lasts for about one to two years.
